SOIL RESISTIVITY TESTING

Soil Resistivity Testing is an integral step when considering earthing solutions, which informs accurate electrical earthing design.

 

Utilising the Wenner method and specialist teat meters, the resistivity of the soil is tested. 

 

Soil resistance readings are then analysed to provide a detailed insight into the resistivity of the ground in the site area to see how the geology resists a given flow of electrons. 

EARTHING DESIGN AND VERIFICATION 

Accurate earthing solutions are reliant on a combination of detailed measurements and computer modelling.

 

Testing and analysis for each project informs detail designs and CAD drawings to aid construction.

We produce designs utilising technically advanced solutions, and are qualified up to CDEGS Level 1.

Accurate analysis allows for calculations on earth impedance, earth potential rise, and touch and step voltages to name a few.

EARTH SYSTEM TESTING 

Following the installation of earthing systems, it is vital to run tests to ensure compliance with the design.

 

Earthing systems should be tested periodically to ensure corrosion or seasonal changes in the soil's resistivity do not compromise the functionality of the earthing system and continued operational safety.
